Wild Heart Springs Wedding in Wilder, Idaho | Lilly & Coltin


Wild Heart Springs is one of those wedding venues that feels like a hidden gem the moment you arrive. Tucked along the Snake River in Wilder, Idaho, about an hour drive from Boise, this venue offers an expansive, lush setting that feels especially rare for late summer in Idaho.

Lilly and Coltin’s August wedding showcased just how versatile and beautiful this venue can be, from the riverfront views to the thoughtfully designed spaces spread throughout the property.


One of the most striking things about Wild Heart Springs is its size. There are so many ceremony and reception options throughout the property, all framed by lush greenery. In addition to the outdoor spaces, the venue also includes a small chapel and an indoor reception area, giving couples indoor options if the weather requires. There is even an indoor pool on site, which wasn’t used for this wedding but adds to the uniqueness of the venue.

After the wedding, I discovered that a friend of mine is actually related to the owners of Wild Heart Springs. Even better, we already have two more weddings booked here next year. A small world moment, and one that makes us especially excited to return.


Lilly & Coltin’s Late Summer Wedding

Lilly and Coltin met through mutual friends during their senior year of high school, and their wedding day reflected years of shared history and deep connection. Their celebration felt warm, joyful, and intentionally designed around the people who matter most to them.

Their wedding theme centered around wildflowers, and it came through beautifully in the details. Bright, colorful bouquets, vibrant bridesmaid dresses, and flower-embroidered table runners added personality and texture throughout the day. The color palette stood out perfectly against the green backdrop of Wild Heart Springs.

Their August 2025 wedding captured everything we love about late summer weddings in Idaho: long daylight, golden light in the evening, and a relaxed, joyful pace. The overall vibe felt bright, floral, and lush, with a subtle rustic touch that fit the venue naturally.


Photographing the Day

This wedding was photography-only, and the day was filled with moments that were both emotional and lighthearted.

One of the most memorable moments was Lilly’s first dance with her dad. The song they danced to was prerecorded by Lilly herself, featuring her singing. It was deeply personal and emotional, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Earlier in the day, Lilly surprised everyone with a hilarious first look with one of Coltin’s groomsmen. She hid a bottle of root beer under her dress, creating a moment that set a playful tone for the rest of the day and had everyone laughing.

Later in the evening, their cake cutting turned into an epic cake smash that perfectly reflected their fun, laid-back energy.


From a photography standpoint, the late summer sun along the Snake River can be bright, but the variety of shaded areas and open spaces at Wild Heart Springs made it easy to work with the light throughout the day. One of our favorite parts of the gallery came from taking about 20 minutes during sunset for bridal portraits. Mixing golden hour light with fun on-camera flash created images that felt energetic, timeless, and true to Lilly and Coltin.


Lilly and Coltin’s wedding is a perfect example of why outdoor summer weddings in Idaho are so special. With its riverfront location, lush landscape, and flexible layout, Wild Heart Springs is an incredible option for couples planning a wedding near Boise who want a setting that feels both expansive and intimate.
