Mint Barrel Barn Wedding in Nampa, Idaho | Kiana & Josh
If you’re searching for a Treasure Valley wedding photographer and dreaming of a venue that blends rustic charm with thoughtful, modern details, Mint Barrel Barn in Nampa is one to have on your radar. Kiana and Josh’s November wedding was the kind that surprises you in all the best ways. Warm sunshine, flowers somehow still in bloom, and a day that flowed effortlessly from start to finish.
Remarkably, the first weekend of November delivered one of those unseasonably perfect Idaho days. The ceremony took place outdoors under clear skies, withbright sunshine pouring across the grounds and proving that fall weddings in the Treasure Valley can still feel soft and vibrant.
Kiana and Josh are, quite simply, some of the kindest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. They embodied our motto, photo and video for the joyful, in the most genuine way. From the moment the day began, their joy was calm, contagious, and deeply rooted in their love for God, being fully present with each other, and the people they love.
Their wedding timeline was exactly how we love to help couples plan it! A first look led seamlessly into bridal portraits, bridal party photos, and family photos all before the ceremony. Because of their planning, Kiana and Josh were free to enjoy the rest of the day without feeling rushed, sneaking away only briefly a few times for sunset photos before rejoining the celebration.
The reception took place upstairs in the barn, a space that can be notoriously tricky for lighting but absolutely shined with the help of Drapers Drape’s installation. Soft fabric, warm tones, and intentional lighting transformed the space into something both elegant and inviting. Downstairs, one of Mint Barrel Barn’s most fun hidden gems made an appearance. The arcade, with free-to-play games, became a favorite hangout spot for the bridal party before the ceremony and even made its way into bridal portraits for a few playful, personality-filled photos.
One of our favorite personal touches came during the reception entrance. Kiana and Josh walked in to the University of Idaho Vandal fight song, a nod to where they met and the college friendships that filled their bridal party. Later, they swapped into matching Nike sneakers for the reception, a perfect blend of comfort, personality, and joy. They embraced the photo dash trend by playing a single song, and with the help of the DJ, each table dashed in for a quicky photo. It was such a fun and simple way to get a photo of everyone with the couple on the wedding day.
This wedding was thoughtful, relaxed, and deeply intentional. A true reflection of who Kiana and Josh are, and a beautiful example of what a November wedding in the Treasure Valley can look like.
